Saint-Cloud Golf Club has welcomed some prestigious visitors: the Duke of Windsor, King Leopold III of Belgium, Baudouin 1st, Dwight D. Eisenhower, the Aga Khan, Bing Crosby, the evangelist Billy Graham, President François Mitterrand, his Majesty Hassan II, the King of Morocco, Gina Lollobridgida, the actors Jerry Lewis, Bruce Willis, Sean Connery and Arnold Schwartzeneger and the footballers Franz Beckenbauer and Michel Platini have all come here to discover our club.
On October 28th, 1984, the American astronaut James Irwin, after playing the course, offered Saint-Cloud Golf Club a photograph showing him on the moon with the following dedication: “To Saint-Cloud Golf Club, the most wonderful place of earth.”
Following his first victory at the Augusta Master’s in 1994, José Maria Olazabal returned to France for the Perrier Trophy at Saint-Cloud Golf Club, accompanied by Severiano Ballesteros. To mark the occasion, he was made an honorary member of the Club.
